It’s finally here! The High Peak Festival is set to make its grand debut in Andermatt, the jewel of the Cenral Swiss Alps! On April 11 and 12, 2025, prepare yourself for Europe’s highest and largest winter Hip-Hop and Reggae Festival. The Vision Behind the Festival: “The idea of hosting a multicultural festival in the snow stems from our deep passion for mountains and music. We’re a tight-knit crew of freeriders with over 20 years of experience in the music industry, dedicated to bringing top-tier urban artists to Switzerland. Our dream has always been to merge these two worlds, creating a space where high-caliber acts meet the stunning backdrop of the mountains. There’s an unparalleled energy up here – Hip-Hop, Reggae & Crossover in the open air, surrounded by nature and freedom,” say the festival founders.
The Venue: The event will take place at the Bätz parking area, featuring 10-mast palace tent for the concerts and an outdoor space offering exciting activities and a variety of food stalls.
Headliners & Highlights: As the headliner, Busta Rhymes will captivate the crowd with his unmatched flow, while Eve, renowned for her hits “Who’s That Girl” and „Let Me Blow Your Mind“, delivers a rare and unforgettable performance. Timbaland will bring his iconic beats to the stage, and XZIBIT is set to energize the audience with his powerful lyrics.

"We are passionate freeriders and music lovers," says Thomas Preissler, one of the founders of Switzerland's High Peak Festival. With over two decades of experience in the global music and event industry, Preissler and his co-organizers have worked with some of the most iconic U.S. artists, including 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, and the Wu-Tang Clan.
The team behind the festival is a collective of promoters, restaurateurs, and DJs from across Switzerland, joined by local business owners from Andermatt. Bound together by their shared love for Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Crossover, they aren't chasing trends but bringing a vision to life—one deeply rooted in their connection to music and culture. Having collaborated with countless artists and bands over the years, these longstanding relationships form the heart and soul of the festival. Their mission? To take attendees on an unforgettable journey back to the roots of Hip-hop, Reggae, and Crossover, where music, community, and the joy of the mountains come together.
The idea for the High Peak Festival was born last spring during a freeride session on Gemsstock. What began as a crazy idea has since turned into a vibrant reality. Initially envisioned as a gathering of friends in Andermatt, the festival has evolved into a global hotspot, attracting hip-hop stars from New York, L.A., and beyond. For the organizers, this is more than just an event—it's a passion project. They aim to introduce their guests and artists to the beauty of their home, sharing the breathtaking scenery of the Urschner mountains while celebrating together in the spring snow.
