Erstmals findet im Absolut Park Flachauwinkl ein FIS Snowboard Weltcup statt und dann ist es gleich das Saisonfinale der Freestyler, bei dem die kleinen und großen Kristallkugeln vergeben werden. Der FIS Snowboard World Cup Flachau erfolgt im direkten Anschluss an des legendäre Spring Battle, das seit 2002 mit seinem einzigartigen Format einen Pflichttermin in der unabhängigen Snowboard Szene darstellt.
